A vaporizer, also known as a vape, is a battery-operated, hand-held device used to inhale an aerosol, which is vaporized from an oil substance containing either nicotine, cannabis, tobacco, essential oils, or other herbs. Cannabis vape pens are quickly becoming more popular as they can be used in a discreet and easy-to-use manner and can be a healthy alternative to traditional smoking processes.
Vape pens most commonly come with a pre-filled cannabis oil cartridge or a full-spectrum CBD oil. Also known as weed pens, they can be used by inhaling the vapor from the top of the vape cartridge, which causes the cannabinoids stored in the plant’s trichomes to evaporate into a gas. Battery-powered vaporizers can either be rechargeable or disposable. Rechargeable vape pens are typically compatible with 510-threaded oil carts and can have interchangeable oil cartridges and atomizers that connect to the internal battery once inserted into the portable vaporizer. Disposable vape pens can be purchased with a pre-filled oil cartridge and once the cartridge tank is depleted they are to be disposed of. Disposable and rechargeable vape pens come in two forms, draw-activated vape pens, and push-button vape pens. Draw-activated vape pens are activated when you inhale through the tip of the cartridge. These vaporizers do not have any buttons or on/off switches. Push-button vape pens feature a button that needs to be held down when in use.
