Edible Cannabis Gummies, Candy Chocolate: Your Complete Guide to Enjoying Cannabis Candy in Vegas

Looking to make your next trip to Vegas more memorable?

There are plenty of ways to consume your cannabis other than puffing on a pre-roll.

The legal cannabis market has made it possible to find edibles in a fantastic array of different flavors and formulations.

If you’re looking for a guide to cannabis chocolates, cannabis gummies, or just THC-infused sweets in general then you’re in the right place! Read on and we’ll teach you all about them!

How Are Cannabis Edibles Made?

Most people are familiar with the edibles made with cannabutter. It’s been used in cookies, brownies, and other treats since edibles became popular in the 80s.

THC sweets, on the other hand, are almost always made using a glycerine extraction. Glycerine extractions, when done properly, can separate the terpenes as well as the psychoactive cannabinoids in the cannabis flower, preserving the flavor and unique effects of the strain.

Due to the extraction method, it’s possible to find sweets in indica or sativa, while still preserving the effects of the strain. You can even find gummies that only contain CBD on our menu.

Sound like a win?

It usually is. A delicious, handy way to get stoned while you hit the Strip is a win-win situation.

How Long Until They Kick In?

It’s important to be cautious with edibles until you’re familiar with their effect. Gummies and cannabis chocolates are no exception.

Depending on your metabolism and the contents of your stomach they can take anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half to hit you. Many newbies make the mistake of dosing higher when they don’t feel stoned immediately, creating a potential problem for themselves.

Higher doses aren’t super dangerous, but many people react negatively with symptoms of anxiety and sedation. If in doubt…Wait it out.

How Much THC Do I Need?

Edibles use to be hit or miss for the majority of people. One of the best parts about the legalization of cannabis is that you no longer need to take a shot in the dark when you’re dosing your favorite product.

You want to start low if you’re not used to taking edibles, even if you’re a regular smoker. While some edible connoisseurs out there might be able to wolf down 100mg of THC in a single sitting, that will just lead to falling asleep for most people.

For someone who doesn’t smoke, a starting dosage of around 5mg is a good guideline, while those who smoke daily might like to start closer to 10-15mg to feel the effects.

As a good guideline: 5mg would be equivalent to a “standard” joint of regular cannabis. If you’re not feeling it, you’ll be best off waiting at least two hours from the initial dose before redosing, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the effects of cannabis edibles.

Timing Duration

The duration of an edible “trip” is much longer than that of your regular smoking experience.

While the effects may take longer to kick in, you’ll need to account for the fact that the high lasts much longer. At a “regular” dose you might expect the peak experience to last for 4-6 hours and have completely dissipated in up to a day, provided you didn’t take too much for your tolerance level.

If you find yourself too stoned your best bet is to get back to the hotel and lie down for a nap.

Once the peak has passed you’ll feel much better, but it’s generally a better idea to get the dosage right in the first place.

What Varieties Are Available?

When you’re looking into THC edibles, you might be surprised to know that there’s something out there for everyone’s taste.

You just need to know what’s available at Planet 13 before you arrive to make sure that you’re getting what you want.

Hard candies are available in a plethora of different flavors. There is something out there for every taste.

Like sour candy? There’s something for you.

If you’re more into something traditional like cola flavors, you will be in good hands once you take a look at the menu.

Keep in mind that hard candies can vary in dosage, so you’ll want to make sure that you consume them responsibly!

Cannabis Chocolates

There are also chocolates available for those who have a sweet tooth for cocoa. Ranging from traditional dark chocolates to the more common milk chocolates, there’s always something to discover.

If there’s a better gift for the chocolate-loving cannabis consumer then we’re at a loss.

THC Gummies

One of the best side effects of legalization has been standardized doses available in regular edible forms. THC gummy bears are readily available, for instance, and you can even find delectable fruit chews.

We even offer sour strips for those who prefer nostalgic sweets. Just be sure not to eat too much since they’re downright delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, it is wise to have some non-infused sweets on hand for when you’re still in the mood for sugar.
